I am an educator, researcher, consultant, and coach with doctoral training in psychology whose work centers on identity and the systems that shape how people grow, lead, and communicate. My professional path spans psychology, business, organizational development, and marketing, and I work at the intersection of these fields to explore how identity influences leadership, decision making, and development.
I am especially drawn to the study of identity and personal brand as foundations for growth in both individuals and organizations. I focus on how people and institutions come to understand who they are and how that understanding shapes what they build and contribute. I view identity as a dynamic process shaped by context, relationships, and time, and this perspective guides my work in leadership development, organizational culture, branding, coaching, and research.
My interest in systems thinking grew from early training that emphasized relational and contextual approaches to human behavior. Over time, I came to see that individuals and organizations are always embedded in larger social and institutional systems. When those systems are understood, development efforts become more coherent and effective.
My background includes extensive experience in higher education and decades of applied work in training and development. Working across these environments has reinforced my commitment to connecting theory with practice. Research provides structure and useful frameworks, while applied experience reveals the practical constraints and opportunities that shape real decisions. This integrated perspective guides my research, teaching, and consulting. Whether working with students, leaders, or organizations, I focus on supporting identity clarity, grounded decision making, and adaptive growth in complex environments.

My coaching work is grounded in formal training across career coaching, positive psychology, solution-focused coaching, and transformational coaching. I have coached individuals and teams both within and outside of workplace settings, supporting goal clarity, decision making, and sustainable behavior change. My approach integrates evidence-based coaching methods with an understanding of individual context, systems, and role demands, allowing coaching to remain practical, reflective, and adaptable to real-world conditions.
My marketing skill is grounded in formal training, established marketing models and decision tools, and systems-based thinking. I hold the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) credential from the American Marketing Association and the Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) designation from the Digital Marketing Institute. My work draws on evidence-based marketing strategy, ethical practice, and consumer psychology, with particular attention to identity, context, and long-term brand development. Through advanced graduate study and certification-based application, I focus on translating research, data, and strategic models into clear, practical marketing decisions that support sustainable growth.
I bring more than three decades of experience in training and development across corporate, small business, and public service organizations, along with 17 years of teaching in higher education. I have designed and led training initiatives for diverse teams and environments, grounded in a strong foundation in learning theory and instructional design. My approach combines evidence-based learning principles with practical implementation to support organizational goals and improve measurable performance.
I apply a research-driven approach to program evaluation, drawing on strong training in research methods, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices. My work includes assessing training and organizational initiatives, identifying performance gaps, and using structured evaluation frameworks to guide program refinement. With experience in process improvement and evidence-based decision making, I focus on evaluation that informs practical changes and supports effective outcomes.
I bring formal training and professional certification in organizational and change coaching, supported by a combined background in business and psychology. I have taught change management and applied its principles to support organizational adaptation, leadership development, and performance improvement. My approach uses established change frameworks and coaching methods to help organizations plan, implement, and sustain effective change initiatives.
